Cable Tray Seismic Support

Seismic support and bracing for cable tray, conduit, busbar and electrical runs — including trapeze racks for multi-level cable distribution. Restraint engineered to resist seismic action and keep critical power and data services online.

Cable tray seismic support with trapeze rack and bracing
Overview

Restraint for Power & Data Runs

Cable tray seismic support combines a trapeze or cantilever support frame with lateral and longitudinal bracing to restrain horizontal runs during an earthquake. Spacing and load are sized to the carried cable weight plus seismic force.

For data centres, hospitals and industrial plants, this restraint is critical — keeping power, control and communications cables in place and functional during and after a seismic event. Our assemblies use standard strut channel and serrated channel nuts for repeatable on-site install.

  • Cable tray, conduit & busbar runs.
  • Trapeze racks for multi-tier distribution.
  • Cantilever arms 300–1000 mm for wall mount.
  • GB 50981 spacing.
  • Q235B steel, electro-galvanized or HDG.

Build the Tray Support System

Tray support uses strut channel, cantilever arms, connectors and anchors — compatible parts from one factory.

FAQ

Common Questions

What seismic support do cable trays need?
Cable trays need both gravity support (trapeze or cantilever) and lateral / longitudinal seismic bracing to restrain movement during an earthquake. Spacing is calculated against the carried cable weight plus seismic force.
Trapeze rack vs cantilever support?
Trapeze racks hang from the structure and carry multiple trays at different levels; cantilever arms project from a wall or column and carry one or two trays. Both can be braced for seismic.
Can you supply a complete kit?
Yes — strut channel, cantilever arms, trapeze hardware, channel nuts, threaded rod, seismic braces, beam clamps and anchors as a single project BOM.
Materials and finish?
Q235B carbon steel to GB/T 700-2006, electro-galvanized as standard; hot-dip galvanized on request for harsh environments.
